Classmates Blog Commentary

I chose to comment on Joshua's videos due to them being silly and just overall fun to watch. His videos are pretty entertaining to watch and are good examples of different camera shots.

Joshua’s 5th clip caught my eye as it shows a high angle shot which makes the man- who already looks sad- look small and insignificant. Seeing him from above also makes him look weak.

The next clip I thought was interesting was his 6th clip showing a valiant hero. This low shot make him look brave and tall giving the feeling of confidence, bravely, and heroism. I mean look at the amazing cape he has, just incredible.

The last clip from Josh I commented on was his 7th clip because it’s a nice silly video. In this clip a Dutch angle is used conveying the characters insanity and weirdness.

I chose to comment on Kyle's videos because although they are more serious than josh's, they are also a better example of camera shots and angles. They are also still entertaining.

Starting with Kyle’s 7th clip, this close-up shows all the details on John’s face and allows us to see he is deep in thought and seriously contemplating.

In the 6th clip we see a clip from the point of view of Kyle, where he shakes Josh’s hand, this shot allows us to peak into the eyes of Kyle and allows a greater connection to what is happening within his POV.

Finally, we see a clip using a mid-shot where we see a frustrated guy. Since this is a mid shot, we can see the gestures the man is doing and can feel his frustration more fully.
