Drive to Thrill
With the video starting at night, it creates a horrific mood but it is then changed when they leave the complex and find the car keys. Once they find the keys, the mood changes to an upbeat and positive groove while driving like teenagers with their newfound car. The shots they filmed during this time were expertly done showing the fun and coolness of there car driving skills. After driving fast and drifting around corners, they hit a speedbump which makes a sound in the trunk that’s causes the group to start worrying and they grew curious to check. When they checked the trunk, they are horrified at what they see which causes them to either run away or stare in horror, which is shown in a well done low angle shot..

Always Watching
The video first shows the main character that has the urge to stalk his best friend, the technical elements of the video give off creepy vibes which gives the audience a feeling like there in the media text with scary music This is also helped by some good technical elements from the scene which were the close up shots, the cross cutting, and the low key lighting. We want to incorporate there use if low key lighting when creating our own media text movie intro. There were definitely some parts as well that were clunky but in total this was an entertaining intro to watch.

The Blue Boar
They start the opening with the main character walking with a fellow sister to check up on potatoes, while the main character looks sad with the sound in the background playing somber music. The main character then meets with their mother for the mother to scold the main character for drawing in the garden while the main character is lost her imagination walking next to the hedges frustrated. she then wanders through the forest which leads to the riverbank where she breaks into song with the music being upbeat and with a hopeful tune. she then walks around the forest singing explaining why she enjoys nature.

White Coat
In this film, he excellently uses mise en scene to demonstrate the mysterious lab. The use of smoke, dark lighting, and lab coat and equipment add depth to the story. The general color of blue and grey was also a great option as it properly compliments the dark lighting and smoky atmosphere. Clever use of close ups to show the equipment and the process the seeming antagonist is doing. The dramatic/mysterious background sound they chose wasn't bad, but I feel like they could do better. The sound in general was very blank and bland. There was a lot of quick straight cuts that were unnecessary. The ending could have been faded out also, but overall, it was a great scene.

Stalker
It starts off with the main character waking up in their bed, then looks around to check her surroundings. The music then becomes tense, and horror music begins to play which causes the audience to be in suspense. After she looks around to make sure she's alone in her room, the music returns to normal, and the main character relaxes. She then goes on to continue her day at school, after the school day ends, she then proceeds to her car which the music changes back to the horror theme. She then runs towards the parking lot and rushes to get inside her car.

While watching this intro I saw few technical elements and the whole video was confusing, poorly done, and messy. The whole media text was mainly just a close up of either the old lady's face or of a painting and other objects. The close up of the old lady also shows her cluelessness for what's happening in the scene. We also see an insert of childhood objects and photos showing her childhood and how she misses it, which is a not bad use of technical elements. I also like the tilt at the start as it sets the mood of just looking at the sky and thinking to yourself, "man where did the years go?". The pan at the end is also unclear on what it provides to the media text. Lastly the cuts seem sort of boring as all we see are plain cuts to the next scenes.
Rise (Video 7) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9AKdUT8nyg: The video begins with a guy exiting his car while wearing sportswear. He proceeds to go in his trunk to get a soccer ball and a bag. It then cuts to him walking to the field with headphones and a hat on. Afterwards it shows him dropping his gear and it starts a montage of him doing soccer drills. The camera cuts away from the montage to a guy outside the field watching the other guy playing soccer as if they know each other. Toward the end of the montage, it shows the guy from the sidelines and the guy in sports wear staring at each other with serious expressions on their faces. The high key lighting from the start to the end of the montage helped the viewer know that there was nothing bad or eerie happening but when the camera shifts to lower lighting when the soccer player was walking back to his car to see the other guy waiting on him with a serious face. The viewer was compelled to understand that the mood has shifted. This video could be improved if the guy outside the field had more context.
Video 8: Dear Lover

This movie intro is well made and has a bunch of technical elements that enhance the emotion of the story. The most common being close ups showing the details of the character face revealing their state of emotion. They used a wide shot as well to show the main character being in a forest just sitting by a river. There's also a over the shoulder shot showing her holding a flower, and observing its beauty. We then see an aerial shot showing her begin throwing the flower, which leads to an action cut of the flower landing in the water. This seen symbolizes her loss and sadness. We next are presented with an eyeline match showing that her girlfriend found her. Then we see some two shot scenes showing the 2 girls talking their feeling out (this is after a flashback). In these scenes we see their love for each other. Finally we see a close up of our main character's hand while she writes some heartfelt letters to her girlfriend.
